SMALL ENGINE REPAIR WORKSHOPS FOR HOMESCHOOL STUDENTS AGES 14-18 YRS. COMING THIS SUMMER 2021 TO LITTLE ARROWS HOMESTEAD PRESENTED BY:
Our family of 9 (at the time, 10 now) traveled the USA for 5 years from April 2015 to March 2020 in our RV full time. It was a fun and priceless experience. We have now bought a home and land in Michigan to settle down. During those 5 years my husband trained technicians all over the country (USA, Canada, Dominican Republic) as well as provided other services like shop renovations, shop safety classes, and speaking engagements.
Now that we are settled here in Michigan, we want to provide the Homeschooling Community with the same opportunity. We are opening our own training center right here in Michigan for hands on Small Engine Repair Workshops. We have been homeschool parents for the last 15 years. Our two oldest children graduated in 2020 and they are both currently attending an internship in California. We continue to homeschool our younger children. Over the years we have realized there is a shortage for vocational opportunities for homeschool students in many areas. We were trying to create our own curriculum for small engine repair but decided that a hands on approach and workshop sessions would be more valuable and a better way for students to learn.
Starting in July, we will be offering workshops 2 times a week and are keeping the classes small (8 students per workshop) so we can assure each student is learning. Each month we will be focusing on a different topic. Electrical will be the topic for July. Hands on soldering and troubleshooting will be one of the many fun and valuable learning experiences your student will get to be involved with.
Later in the summer we will have workshops for 2 stroke engines, 4 stroke engines and more! Keep checking back for dates and prices. We want to make sure we are providing a fun and safe educational environment for all involved. We are looking forward to working with our local Michigan homeschool families.
